Thai SEC Initiates Public Input on Crypto Listing Requirements

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Thailand has commenced a public consultation period seeking feedback on proposed guidelines for the listing of digital currencies on authorized exchanges. This action is intended to improve investor safeguards and maintain market integrity by establishing defined and unambiguous regulations. The suggested requirements cover aspects such as technical and financial assessments of crypto projects, as well as cybersecurity protocols and anti-money laundering measures. Feedback received during the consultation will be considered when drafting the final rules governing cryptocurrency listing and trading in Thailand. This initiative underscores the Thai government’s commitment to fostering the digital currency sector while preserving financial system stability and protecting investor interests.
